HED Launches Two New Controllers for Vehicle Applications

HED, Inc. (Hartford, WI, USA) has released its two latest controllers, the CL-450 and CL-451.  The CL-450 is targeted for chassis or body control applications with high I/O count.  It features a powerful 32-bit processor, three CAN ports, 36 Inputs and 33 Outputs.   Inputs are software configurable as digital, analog, frequency, PWM or quadrature encoder.  Outputs include (8) 2-wire current-control outputs for fine control of hydraulic valves over fluctuating temperature and supply voltage.  CL-450 is IP67 rated in a rugged plastic housing, designed and tested to perform in harsh environments.

Typical applications for the CL-450 include chassis or body control on vehicles where high I/O count is concentrated in the same general location on a vehicle, including paving, tractors, wreckers, mixers, specialty vehicles and refuse.   The CL-450 provides a cost-effective and versatile solution for your vehicle control applications.

A second new controller, the CL-451 is a small, cost-effective, flexible I/O module that can be used across many applications.  It features a 32-bit processor and 16 flexible I/O pins which are software configurable as inputs or outputs.  Input types include digital, analog, frequency or PWM.  Outputs have one-wire current feedback.  The CL-451 is housed in a rugged compact IP67 enclosure.  The versatility of the CL-451 allows it to be deployed as single-module control of an application, or as an add-on I/O module reading sensor inputs and controlling functions ranging from hydraulic valves to indicators.  One part number can serve a variety of different functions across your vehicle platforms.

The CL-450 and CL-451 are available for immediate purchase or sample evaluation.  For more information, contact Eddie Phillips, VP Sales & Marketing at ephillips@hedonline.com or at 1-800-398-2224.
