Mission Statement:
Ø Responsible for compiling amounts owed by the company to vendors, suppliers, or other organizations/individuals. Gathers purchase orders, charge slips, sales tickets etc, and prepares payments. Maintains all payment or other transaction records.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
 
Ø Prepare all vouchers for payment
Ø Prepare accounts payable invoice deduction notices, as necessary
Ø Answer all vendor inquiries.
Ø Process accounts payable weekly check runs.
Ø Maintain all accounts payable files.
Ø Prepare and distribute company mail.
Ø Acts as the company's primary receptionist
Ø Performs other general clerical functions as necessary

Ø Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ø Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ø Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Ø Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ø To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Accounting software.
Ø No certifications needed.
Ø This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Relationships:
Ø Works closely with the Materials Department verifying accuracy of purchases
Ø Works closely with Management on processing check runs
Ø Works indirectly across all departments on general clerical activities
