Mission Statement:

  • Develop and manage HED go to market strategy for CANect telematics products and maximize HED® sales and profitability by pro-actively identifying, qualifying, and working with sales team to close new business at key customer prospects.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Capture and document VOC needs for product and services and define strategies necessary to align with market needs
  • Develop strategic industry partnerships; that help drive revenue for CANect strategic growth
  • Become the market knowledge expert by attending industry forums and networking with industry contacts.  Share knowledge at HED to drive needed actions
  • Provide market research to define target markets and customers
  • Help define and exectue CANect marketing efforts (advertising, tradeshows, etc.)


  • Direct and manage CANect Sales force
  • Aid sales team in creating NBO
  • Manage the RFQ process to propose HED® CANect products and vehicle systems to OEM customers
  • Lead comprehensive system/ product proposals that meet our customers technical requirements 
  • Work with, train, and motivate distributor sales network and rep network where applicable 
  • Propose innovative product, systems, logistics, and other solutions to minimize account support costs while still satisfying the customer; be an HED® advocate to the customer.
  • Participate in obtaining and building sales forecast data for the designated product lines related to CANect.

Technical skills /

Competence required:

  • BS degree in Business, IT, or Engineering (MBA preferred)
  • At least 3 years experience in the telematics industry and 5 years of Sales Management experience
  • Highly motivated
  • Excellent communication (written, presentation, verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and close key prospect accounts
  • Customer empathy/customer advocate mentality.
  • Ability to work independently to set daily priorities and workload
  • Strong leadership qualities and a demonstrated capability to influence others and excel in a matrix organization is a must.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time


  • Works cross functionally with all functional departments to insure customer satisfaction. Works particularly with Sales Management for customer and market strategy implementation, Product Management for pricing guidance, Applications Engineering to insure best practices for product application, and Customer Service to insure proper acknowledgement and delivery of product and support for quality related issues
